ATTICA - Mrs. Chessie Harmeson, 78, Rt. 2, Attica, died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been seriously ill the past two months. A member of the Bethel Church, she was born at Flat Rock, Ill., March 9, 1893, the daughter of Lee and Ida Belle Glaze Clark. She married Roy Harmeson Jan. 31, 1912, at Danville Ill. He preceded her in death May 29, 1963. Surviving are a son, Lee Roy of Rt. 2, Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Ridge of Rt. 1, Waynetown and Mrs. Walter (Elizabeth) Denhart of Rt. 2, Veedersburg; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Lewis Clark of Baton Rouge, La. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services for Mrs. Harmeson will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dale Voss Funeral Home at Attica. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopston, Ill. Rev. Paul Moyer will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. -- jlr
